The anti-Trump fringe has once again shown that pretty much nothing is off limits when it comes to advancing the leftist agenda of removing the president from office – including calling for his free speech rights to be censored by social media giant Twitter.
According to reports, the latest excuse being lobbed by the left as to why the president needs to be silenced is that his statements via the social media platform are inflammatory and “dangerous” to America. Even the mainstream media is running with this bizarre narrative – of course, now that the “Russia hacked the election” myth is dead in the water.
The Washington Post, The New York Times, Slate, The Globe and Mail, and many others are all chiming in like an orchestrated symphony to demand that Twitter remove the president’s account and prevent him from speaking directly to the people. And in the process, they’re admitting that they’re more aligned with the Pyongyang regime than they are with the United States.
“Why has Twitter not taken action against Trump’s tweets – or banned his account for violating its policies on hateful content and/or violent threats?” an “analysis” by WaPo asked.
“Is there any situation that would cause Twitter to suspend or ban President Trump?” reads another published by The Times.
Both news outlets, which the president certainly hasn’t been shy in calling out for their corruption, insist that Twitter’s own policies require that Mr. Trump’s account be suspended or removed. They claim that the president’s language is “hateful” and “violent,” and yet provide no comment as to the threats made against the U.S. by the North Korean regime.
This is nothing new for these leftist media outlets, which seem to have made it their official policy to trash the U.S. and side with the enemy whenever they get the chance. We’ve seen it again and again with things like Middle East affairs, Islamic terrorism, and even domestic terrorism, as law-abiding citizens are portrayed as being the problem while criminals get a free pass.
In the “age of Trump,” this has only intensified as the president has sought to bolster national sovereignty, protect the borders, rescind burdensome and unnecessary regulations, and put America first. News media like WaPo and The Times hate this agenda, so they continue to lash out.
They also hate that the president bypasses them in delivering news and commentary directly to the American people. This is why even long before President Trump started engaging North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in a “tweet” battle, many on the “left” were complaining about how somebody needed to “take away Trump’s phone” in order to stop him from tweeting.
For the first time in a long time, Americans have a president who isn’t afraid to break the status quo and engage directly with the American people – no media necessary. But this threatens the establishment narrative, which at the current time seems to be centered around attacking white people and Christians, many of whom support the president.
Activists have gotten so bold as to even target Twitter’s headquarters in California. It was reported that protesters had gathered outside the building to project an image on its side stating “@jack is #complicit,” referring to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. “Resistance SF” also issued a statement claiming that Dorsey is violating “the rules of his own company” and “endanger[ing] the world.”
Twitter has responded by stating:
“Blocking a world leader from Twitter or removing their controversial Tweets would hide important information people should be able to see and debate. It would also not silence that leader, but it would certainly hamper necessary discussion around their words and actions.”
