Jeffrey “InTheMatrixxx” Pedersen and Shannon “ShadyGrooove” Townsend dedicated the April 12 episode of their Brighteon.TV program “The Matrixxx Grooove Show” to denounce the attack by the left-wing Media Matters for America (MMfA) on their show.
Pedersen began by citing a December 2023 article by MMfA senior researcher Alex Kaplan, which was titled “A QAnon Show Receives Press Passes for Trump’s Nevada Rally.” According to InTheMatrixxx, “The MG Show” is a conservative radio talk show and not a QAnon one.
“We actually support Donald J. Trump, and we covered Q as it dropped. They made this thing evil – there’s Q, and there is no QAnon. The [anonymous operatives] that did the false codes are QAnons, the ones that are out there working with Media Matters.”
According to the MMfA piece, “at least one” of “The MG Show” hosts purportedly attended Trump’s Dec. 17, 2023 rally in Reno, Nevada as accredited media. Pedersen recounted that during the Dec. 15, 2023 edition of the Brighteon.TV program, Townsend announced that they were given accreditation as media outlets covering Trump and his campaign after seeking press passes for the Reno rally.
Moreover, InTheMatrixxx also stressed that receiving the press passes proved that Trump knew who they were. He even mentioned how he had personally met and talked with the former president.
“He knew that I was Jeffrey Pedersen with ‘The MG Show’ and took a picture with [us] together, with the thumbs-up [pose]. So that happened.”
According to Donnie O’Sullivan of the fake news network CNN, Pedersen and Townsend may have received the press credentials through a right-wing radio talk network that had pro-Trump radio hosts. The Brighteon.TV host nevertheless continued that this wasn’t the first time both of them attended a Trump campaign rally, as they were also issued press credentials during a July 2021 rally in Sarasota, Florida.
The MMfA piece also recounted that during the July 2021 Sarasota rally, Pedersen and Townsend wore wristbands with the phrase “where we go one, we go all” – often shortened to WWG1WGA. But according to InTheMatrixxx, this slogan wasn’t from QAnon. It was actually from the 1996 film “White Squall” directed by Ridley Scott.
Kaplan also wrote that “The MG Show” hosts led the crowd in chanting the slogan at the Sarasota rally – something Pedersen attested to. The MMfA senior researcher continued: “After receiving backlash for credentialing QAnon conspiracy theorists, Trump’s team distanced itself from QAnon and ‘The MG Show.'”
Pedersen ultimately mentioned that MMfA has the network to mine social media and find all the posts they need. It can then amplify these posts to target certain users, or suppress these so that people won’t see them and learn the truth.
Moreover, he alleged that MMfA is discrediting other news sources to establish a competitive system of influencers in the network. In this setup, the left-wing watchdog has the online talent that analyzes everything and ensures people who work closely with MMfA are the ones permitted to flourish. Despite this smear, Pedersen emphasized that he and Townsend have not wavered in their support for Trump.
“We’re not going to be turning on Trump. There might be some others out there that say they have info that we might have to turn on them. But look, Donald Trump is a lone warrior. There’s nobody helping him more than you, the people, and this show that’s been attacked constantly,” he said.
“All we do is talk about how we need to get Trump elected. I don’t care about fighting over anybody else if you understand what I’m talking about in general.”
